I strive to explore liminal spaces – the edges of things and experiences, and all that lies in-between. Between photographs and paintings; between languages and cultures that jostle on our streets and in our markets; between external phenomena and a deeply personal experience; between reconstructed memory and an aspired future.
These pictures are my homage to the twin pillars of my exploration of liminal spaces: psychedelics and Canada.
Above all, they are my love song to Z, my partner in life, who helped me build my Canadian life – which is the greatest privilege of all.
Thank you for taking a look – Arnie
Acid for Yuppies is a catalog of photographs taken and processed by Arnie Guha during the COVID-19 lockdown, between the months of July and October, 2020. The catalog includes two sets of pictures: YYZ, which is an homage to Toronto, the author's beloved city; and Pastoral électrique, which documents village life in Canada, with a unique electric palette, suitable for HD metal prints and light boxes.
